Our Client is a plastic machinery manufacturing company. They are looking for a senior talent to hold the Overseas Applications Manager position within the company to cover Japan, Southeast Asia and Europe region. The incumbent will be based in Singapore.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Overseas Application Manager to provide expert technical assistance within the plastic machinery industry. In this role, you will be responsible for solving technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving processes and systems. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, communicative, and committed to staying ahead of industry trends. This role will cover APAC ex China and will be reporting to the Sales/Business Director in Singapore.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:

    • Provide comprehensive application support to internal teams and clients, addressing any technical challenges within the plastic machinery environment.

    • Offer timely and effective solutions to technical problems, utilizing systematized approaches for long-term resolutions.

  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.

    • Develop and implement proactive solutions to prevent future occurrences and improve system efficiency.

  • Communication & Customer Interaction:

    • Explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Serve as a technical expert in client interactions, ensuring that solutions are well understood and effectively executed.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, engineering, and customer service to understand customer needs and deliver tailored technical support.

    • Assist with the development of technical documentation and training materials for both internal use and client education.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes and systems for greater efficiency and better client outcomes.

    • Implement system improvements that streamline technical support workflows and enhance overall performance.

  • Continuous Learning & Development:

    • Stay informed on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain expertise in the plastic machinery sector.

    • Participate in training and development opportunities to sharpen technical skills and stay updated with product developments.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Application Support or in a similar technical role, preferably within the plastic machinery industry.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to providing expert solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience.

  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and meet customer needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve processes and systems for increased efficiency and performance.

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin

  • 3rd language is a plus


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related subjects
