Our Client is a plastics machinery manufacturing company. They are looking for a senior talent to hold the Key Account Sales Manager position within the company to cover Japan, Southeast Asia and Europe region. The incumbent will be based in Singapore.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Key Account Manager to manage and nurture key client relationships in the plastic machinery industry. This role will require you to work closely with global clients, deliver technical support, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at fostering long-term growth. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with internal teams, maintain in-depth knowledge of market trends, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism. This role will cover APAC ex China and will be reporting to the Sales/Business Director in Singapore.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:

    • Manage and grow key accounts within the global plastic machinery sector.

    • Build and sustain strong, long-lasting client relationships with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.

  • Client Relationship Building:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing client inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met.

    • Engage in regular communication with clients to anticipate future needs and identify new opportunities.

  • Technical Support and Solutions Development:

    • Provide technical support to clients by participating in solution development, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.

    • Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve client issues and optimize product performance.

  • Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive long-term business growth.

    • Identify opportunities for expansion within existing accounts and execute strategies to increase revenue.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, technical, and customer service teams, to ensure a seamless customer experience.

    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet client needs and develop tailored solutions.

  • Market and Competitor Insights:

    • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

    • Use market intelligence to anticipate challenges and opportunities, adapting strategies as necessary.

  • Professionalism and Commitment:

    • Demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and professionalism in all client interactions.

    • Represent the company with integrity and uphold its values in all client-facing engagements.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in account management or a similar role within a global setting, specifically in the plastic machinery industry.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key accounts.

  • Experience providing technical support, delivering presentations, and developing technical solutions for clients.

  • Strong strategic planning abilities with a focus on long-term growth and client retention.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver on client expectations.

  • In-depth knowledge of market trends and competitor activity within the plastic machinery sector.

  • High level of professionalism, commitment, and a positive attitude toward achieving business objectives.

  • Frequent travel needed.

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin

  • 3rd language is a plus


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related subjects
